Few words about East West University Cine and Photography Club (EWUPC)

East West University Cine and Photography Club (EWUPC) has passed a glorious journey since its birth on May, 2000. As the new millennium begins, the concept of photography club eventually grows stronger and stronger in the mind of the students. As photography is such an art where science coincides the aesthetics of human mind. The club got its going with M Sayeed Alam as the founder moderator and Md. Emdadul Haque as the first president. At that time the club started with a handful number of enthusiasts. However, the activity of the club was not limited within its size. Various types of field trips and workshops were arranged and large number of students took part in these events on a regular basis.

EWUCPC aims to expand interest in Cine and Photography among students through workshops, photo exhibitions, group discussions and film festivals. The ambition of this club is to learn and share new ideas and techniques with others who have similar interest, imagination, interpersonal skills and recreational activities specially through Cine & Photography. At present Mohammad Iftekharul Huq Farhana Ferdousi, Mohammad Zakaria Masud , M Sayeed Alam , act as Moderators of this club and Md. Nazmul Islam Adnan is the president of this club. In this regard it is worth nothing that president Nazmul Islam Adnan won three prizes in three different categories in an International Inter University Photography Contest in 2005 organized by North South University Photography Club . This is the first international achievement of this club.

The other members of the executive committee are Md. Fazlay Rabbi , M. Aniruddha Kabir , Mahabub Ali Chowdhury, Mohammed Yusuf, Md. Tawhid Alam,K.A. Safatul Huq, Nafisa Chowdhury.
